The Artisphere presents Diogo Nogueira: Brazilian Samba Star. 2010 Latin Grammy Award-winner and rising samba star Diogo Nogueira launched his career three years ago following in the footsteps of his late father, samba legend Joao Nogueira. A native of Rio de Janiero, Diogo Nogueira performs that city’s samba-canção, a more melodic variation that is among the best-loved in Brazil (and least-known internationally). 8pm Friday, January 6 at the Artisphere on 1101 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia.
