The Independent Film Festival is an award winning event that has lead to Academy Awards, Sundance, Toronto and Cannes. Starting March 4 to 15, 2009, local, national, and international filmmakers will feature short, animation, and documentary films at Jack Morton Auditorium in George Washington University. This event will be in tandem with the Annual Washington, DC Music festival to provide nightly entertainment. Local musicians will perform jazz, blues, soul and more.
